I cover a floor with glass cellophanes, and people interact by stepping on them. Many people have never deliberately stepped on glass, and in my installation they can enjoy this new experience. The participants hear the sound of breaking glass, and they feel the sensation of stepping on glass. In the glass cellophanes, people see the reflections of light, the room, and themselves. The cellophanes are ground into tiny shards and powder after several hours. Glass powder also presents an element of danger. After the installation, some of the powder will remain on the floor, too elusive to be fully swept away.
