Absence
I often like sitting in a corner in my studio. The corner is my favorite place in a room. I can see everywhere around me, and I feel safe because there are two walls behind me to offer protection. I am interested in representing my presence in my studio as absence. For this work, I sat in the corner, clasped my knees, and then cast my back and space between my body and the wall with black glass.
